Dato’ Geethan has both prosecuted and defended numerous high profile criminal cases in the country and is widely recognised as one of Malaysia’s top defense counsels. He regularly handles criminal cases at courts of different hierachies.
Zooming into his diverse career background, Dato’ Geethan embarked on his trade in Criminal Law as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC). Thereafter, he left the Chambers for the Enforcement Division of the Securities Commission before finally settling into private practice.
His experience in the highest levels of prosecution makes him particularly adept at formulating winning strategies in criminal cases. Dato Geethan’s formidable career includes representation of politicians, police officers, government officers, corporate figures and high net worth individuals. Astute and practical in his approach, Dato’ Geethan now regularly advises clients who are accused of complex “white collar” crimes that include fraud, commercial crime, high level corruption, regulatory offences and money laundering.
